New team records: average (.649), run differential (+297), runs per game for (21.5), runs per game against (6.6), average margin of victory (14.9), K's (20).
Joce (.588), Schumer (.586) and Nikki (.568) all break female batting average record.
Brian breaks total male runs record (57) despite a shortened season. He also breaks male batting average record (.868)
Schumer ties total female runs record (37) despite a shortened season.
Jeff cranks out his first career 88s out of the park homerun with a grand slam in the finals.
Marnie and Travis only full time players to raise their overall batting average after the playoffs. #clutch
Nikki captures the Ironwoman award for never missing an inning all year, including tournament. She also waited until the last game to sign up for the K club.
Jeff and Nikki finished tied for the most ABs (aw).
Despite only playing 35% of games (7), Pope finished tied with Sandi for the team lead in walks (3).

2019 Record Notes & Fun Stuff
Rookie Katelin had a strong first campaign, leading the ladies in average (.438), runs (30) and tied with Julie (who had the best lady RBI rate of 1.35 per game) for RBIs (23).
Shake and bake ended the year as the only two batters remaining in the .700 club, with shake (Jeff) taking the batting average crown with an impressive .758 on the season, good for 3rd best all time.
Jeff also takes this years hit race with 91, also good for 3rd best all time.
Bake (Myles) used his lighter frame to help break the single season record for inside the park homeruns (12) and total homeruns (15).
Thanks to stellar attendance, 2019 required by far the fewest uses of sub players (6) compared to 2018 (23) and 2017 (32).
88s led the entire Welland District Slo-Pitch league with most team mascots - Buster!
The 88s franchise now has more total walks (49) than total strikeouts (48).
Ironman / woman shared between Myles, Jeff and Nikki with 31 games played.

2018 Record Notes & Fun Stuff
MVP of the 2018 campaign Matt leads team with hits (84) and runs scored (39) and 2nd in homeruns (6) and RBIs (39) while only missing 1 game and playing important defence + being the primary male pinch runner.
ROY of the 2018 campaign Kirby S. finishes with one of the best seasons of any female in franchise history with an average of .524 (3rd all time), 34 RBI (1st all time), 7 walks (1st all time overall), and 35 runs (3rd all time) while playing 3B and pinch running a TON.
Myles captures the triple crown of average (.772), RBI (50) and Homeruns (11).

Ironman (woman) award goes to Sandi who edged out Erica by the narrowest of margins, finishing with only 2 more innings played.

2017 Record Notes & Fun Stuff
TIGHT race for most runs (Jeff - 56 / Matt - 55 / Chris - 54)
Andrew narrowly escapes an off season of teasing by edging out his wife Sabrina in the average department (his .552 vs her . 525)
Boudens with 14 bombs in only 94 AB's (1 HR every 6.7 ABs)
Myles edges out Matt in the average category by a single decimal point (.660 vs .659). Not that it really matters though, they finished 4th and 5th respectively.
Very strange how Chris didn't lead any categories (2nd in HRs, 3rd in runs, 3rd in average and 4th in RBI for a great all around campaign)
Jeff's late season vacation time cost him the hits race! Myles makes a come back and edges him out 103 - 101.
Ironman award goes to Myles, the only player to play in all 36 games.
The batting order / carry over rotation did as it was designed to do, making the numbers very even in terms of AB/game (4.38 - 4.88 among females and 4.17 - 4.65 among males)
